Béatrice Cols
As a Belgian sculptor, Béatrice Cols lives and works in Brussels (Belgium) and Forcalquier (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence - France).
Ever since I was a child, I've loved drawing and painting, modelling and imagining. After graduating as a graphic designer from Saint Luc in Brussels, I worked as an advertising designer for 13 years before devoting myself fully to my art, primarily oil painting.
In 2004, I set up the "GALERIE PASSERE" in Forcalquier in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, where I spend most of my time.
This art gallery was a place for exhibitions and encounters, both with artists and art lovers.
Then, I discovered clay, I loved it and I continued along this path with passion.
As with painting, the child is at the heart of each of my sculptures. I cherish their zest for life, their fragility, and at the same time their undeniable presence.
In 2015, I moved into my new workshop under the citadel of Forcalquier, facing the Alps and the Luberon mountain.
